WHY FAPAN
FAPAN was established to support farmers whose farmlands and livelihoods have been destroyed due to conflicts, herder-farmer crises, natural disasters, and insecurity. We provide farming equipment, rehabilitate damaged farmlands, and offer humanitarian and agricultural support.

The Farmers Protection Association of Nigeria (FAPAN) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding farmers’ rights, restoring agricultural productivity, and promoting food security.

ABOUT US
FAPAN was founded in response to recurring crises affecting farmers in regions such as Benue, Plateau (Jos), Borno, and other parts of Northern Nigeria. The association was created to provide timely intervention, rehabilitation, and long-term support to affected farming communities.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- To identify and document farmers affected by crises nationwide.
- To rehabilitate burnt and damaged farmlands.
- To distribute farming tools, seeds, fertilizers, and machinery.
- To provide emergency relief materials and financial support.
- To train farmers on modern and climate-smart farming techniques.
- To partner with government agencies, NGOs, and international donors.
- To advocate for policies that protect farmers’ land rights.
- To establish early-warning and rapid-response systems for crisis zones.
Vision
To build a secure, empowered, and self-reliant farming community in Nigeria where farmers can cultivate their land without fear and contribute meaningfully to national food security.
Mission
To protect rural farmers and livelihoods by providing agricultural support, crisis intervention, land restoration, and advocacy, while promoting peace, sustainability, and economic stability.

October 19, 2023 Five killed, scored kidnapped in Benue attack
No fewer than five people were killed by gunmen and several kidnapped on Wednesday in Ayilamo, a village in Logo Local Government of Benue state.
According to Mr Sewuese Anene, spokesman of the Police Command in the north-central state, the attack occurred on Tuesday night.
